Well we we have skiied here for more than 20 years and it seems that for the last couple of years there has beeb a drastic change in customer service and pricing, myself and my fiance have enjoyed the ski hill, the staff the clientele and the customer service, HOWEVER today was a disappointment as we paid $224 / 4 tickets for 2 running lifts, 3 rd chair closed. this used to be our hill of choice whenever we have come to this area NOT anymore even the food prices have jumped thats just crazy too. we will gladly pay for great skiing and ammenities, when you look at the alternative ski hills and what they offer with number of lifts and runs, Whitewater does not come close when you are looking at a bang for your buck, too bad, your clientele number has dropped, and unfornutaly for the resort i feel a need to blog and share my experience on other forums. we look forward to any changes to the resort and gladly will revisit once hill has improved. thanks and regards Jess Zalai

Dear Jess, Thank you so much for your comment. We appreciate your patronage over the past 20 years! There has been quite a few changes throughout Whitewater's history and we have worked hard to stay true to our roots in keeping skiing affordable and enjoyable. A combination of inflation and the growth of the resort with the new chair has forced us to raise our lift ticket rates. As I mentioned before, we strive to keep skiing affordable and you will find that we have one of the cheapest lift tickets in British Columbia and probably Western Canada. We actually held our rates last year to try and buffer the tax hike of 12% but we have to ensure our business is sustainable so we had to raise the rates this year. As for Glory Ridge being closed, in the past we have closed the entire resort for Christmas day, then in the mid-90s we decided to open Silver King for a few hours. This year was the first year that we offered Summit side too, which we were excited about. We only interrupted the Glory Ridge operation for the one holiday and reduced our lift ticket rates to account for that. And the food costs have risen as well and those increases are in relation to the increased cost for us to use fresh local ingredients. We do believe that we charge a very reasonable rate for what we offer and I am sorry to hear that you do not feel the same way. We will continue to work hard to provide our guests a quality experience at Whitewater and to do so as affordably as we can while keeping the resort operating into the future. Hope to see you again soon, Rebeckah

"Whitewater doesn't need all the bells and whistles that other ski resorts have adopted because Whitewater has exactly what everyone is looking for; lots to explore and beautiful snow. The food in the cafe is unbeatable & offers fair prices, plus healthy & delicious options."
