We are required to ensure that the system we are renting is in safe working order. In order to do this, the system must be tested with the Vermont Calibrator. First, our technicians examine the skis for:
- Bindings are indemnified.
- AFD (Anti-Friction Device) at toe of the bindings are in good condition.
- Bindings are compatible with our boots.
- All screws and parts are present.
- All moving parts are operative freely.
- Bindings are aligned properly on the skis.
- That we have a current DIN chart for that make of bindings.
IF the skis or the system do not pass the specified tests, we are unable to rent this equipment and suggest that the guest may rent a pair of skis from Whitewater.
*Full package includes skis, skins, beacon, probe and shovel.
**Jig mounts for Rossignol, Look & Dynastar.
........................................................................."Much of Whitewater’s tree skiing is fairly steep but the more consistent intermediate pitch of the trees skier’s left of the Glory Ridge chair are a great training area for those with less experience in the trees. Whitewater’s usually best-in-interior-BC lift-served snow conditions and low skier density are also major virtues." Tony Crocker
