Unsurpassable snowcat skiing from a beautiful remote lodge in the Selkirk Mountains of B.C.
Thirty-seven years and counting...Selkirk Wilderness Skiing, the world's finest snowcat skiing operation, has had some of its guests returning for decades. In the mid 1970's owners, Allan and Brenda Drury, had an inkling that their snow-laden interior valley was a prime area to develop an alternative to both lift-based and helicopter skiing, but they never imagined that thirty years later they would see twenty-plus "cat" operations in British Columbia alone. There are now many wonderful choices of deep snow skiing holidays, and here in the Selkirk Mountains is one of the finest experiences that a seasoned skier could ever hope to enjoy.
The Drurys' intimate operation welcomes only twenty-four skiers per week and these lucky few share spectacular powder terrain the size of Whistler/Blackcomb and Vail combined. It all happens on Meadow Mountain, a majestic kingdom of sheltered open bowls, steep tree-lined chutes, and miles and miles of delightful glades. Years of continuing to work on already ideal terrain has made the skiing experience ever more perfect: the cat rides are smooth and amazingly efficient, and the vertical and variety of runs rival many heli-ski operations. Each day a warm comfortable cat transports twelve skiers to endless fields of untouched snow. And because the cat is never grounded by stormy weather they can expect to ski 12,000 to 18,000 vertical feet of powder every day of their holiday.

Guests share a beautiful remote lodge on the east slope of Meadow Mountain. Nestled amongst towering firs 2300 feet above the valley floor this special hideaway offers breathtaking views of the Purcell and Selkirk mountains an all the luxuries of home. Imagine at the end of the day skiing deep snow right back to the lodge, then relaxing and watching the sun go down on the tracks you made that day. The superb cooking is legendary, created with a gourmet touch and deep powder appetites in mind. After a delicious meal, guests may chose to play a game of pool or table tennis, soak in a hot tub under the stars, or just curl up with a good book in front of a crackling fire. A good night's sleep and a hot, hearty breakfast are all that stand between them and another incredible day of skiing.

"I have tried many others but keep coming back to Selkirk. Besides the outstanding snow and terrain; they also have the most experienced team of guides who know the area intimately; the most accommodating lodge staff; and the best total experience from arrival to departure."
—Barry Lester, Calgary, AB
"What a great vacation! Snow, snow and more snow! Great people, great lodge and the best skiing anywhere. Thanks again."
