We offer the Level 1, Canadian Ski Instructors Alliance (C.S.I.A.) certification course, which is a pre-requisite for those interested in becoming a Ski Instructor or just a great way to improve your skills. The course is four days and 2 week advanced booking is required. Please check back for course dates.
All registered participants will receive 50% off daily lift ticket rates.
CSIA level 1 is Dec 19-22, 2011 and March 12-15, 2012.

CANSI Telemark Level 1 Instrutor Course

The CANSI Telemark Level I instructor certification course trains you for teaching beginner telemark skiers. The teaching progression takes a skier from a basic telemark turn through to a parallel telemark turn. You should be a strong intermediate telemark skier, able to ski parallel telemark turns on groomed slopes. This is a great ski improvement clinic and an excellent introduction to the concepts behind efficient and effective skiing.

INSTRUCTOR: Karen Reader has been teaching skiing for over 15 years in the disciplines of Telemark (PSIA 3/CANSI 3), Alpine (CSIA 2) and Adaptive (PSIA 2). Karen coaches the Freeride Group at Red Mountain and also travels throughout Western Canada and the United States coaching ski clinics.

Snowboard Instructors courses are offered through the Canadian Association of Snowboard Instructors (C.A.S.I.) Information and registration is handled through their website at www.casi-bc.ca or www.snowpro.com
CASI level 1 dates are TBD.
