Whitewater offers a variety of lessons to choose from. For those just starting out in the sport of skiing or snowboarding we offer the Discover Ski or Snowboard package, both Step 1 and 2. We also offer Group Lessons or Private Lessons for those that need to build their skills further.
For the ladies we have The Powder Room (ladies day) that runs every Monday morning and The Boardroom (mens day) that runs every Friday. Looking to make the most of your next Cat or Heli trip? Try our Discover Cat and Heli or Powderhound Experience.

NOTE that bookings made through the downtown office must be made at least 24 hours in advance and paid in full to guarantee instructor availability. Lift tickets, unless otherwise stated, are not included with the cost of the lesson.
DISCOVER SKI & SNOWBOARD STEP ONE
Ski and SB level 1 (Never Skied or Boarded)
The right way to get started skiing or boarding. In 2 hours we'll show you the right way to dress, how to put on your gear properly, how to ride the handle tow, and how to control your speed, stop and turn. Price includes full day lift ticket, rentals and 2 hour lesson.

DISCOVER SKI & SNOWBOARD STEP TWO
Ski and SB level 2 (only skied once or twice before)
The second part of the Discover program. Step two is taking you to the lifts! We'll start out on the handle tow just to make sure you're ready to head up to the lifts. Then, we take you over to the Silverking lift where we'll teach you how to load and unload the lift and we will get you cruising down the green runs.

GROUP LESSONS (ages 13 and up)
Ski and SB level 1-6
A 2 hour lesson to pick up some new skills, gain some style and technique in a fun group oriented environment. Our pros will work with you to help iron out the kinks that you have asked them to.

PRIVATE LESSONS (ages 13 and up)*
Ski and SB level 1-6
You will have our pros undivided attention as they tailor a lesson program specifically for your goals. you will be able to ski/ride at your pace and more importantly, learn at your pace. All private lessons can include up to three people of your choice, so bring a friend, split the cost and have a great time!
Time: Offered daily at 9:00am, 10:00am, 12:00pm, 12:30pm, 1:15pm, and 2:15pm
Price: $248 Full day (6 hours) starting at 9:00am only
$178 Half day AM (3 hours) starting at 9:00am only

THE POWDER ROOM~ ladies only (ages 19 and up)

A morning out with great friends enjoying winter to its fullest. Throw in a ski pro that will help boost your confidence, challenge you to new height or just help skip the lift lines on an epic powder filled morning. Top it off with a gourmet lunch prepared by someone else, a glass of one of BC's best wines and you've got your new favourite day of the week. There's no "case of the Monday's" here!

THE BOARDROOM ~ men only (ages 19 and up)

A chance to hang out with the guys rippin' up the slopes. You'll be joined by a pro who will make sure you can actually back up your claim to being Whitewater's best skier or rider. Add a frosty pint of Nelson's finest and probably the best burger of your life and you've got every reason to start the weekend a little early.
Time: 9:00am to 11:30am

DISCOVER CAT & HELI (ages 13 and up)
Ski and SB levels 4-6
Ever looked at photos or movies of cat and heli skiing and thought "that's way too advanced for me?" Well don't be fooled by what you see, Cat and Heli skiing and riding is not as extreme as it's sometimes made out to be. If you are dreaming of heading out for an ultimate day of skiing or riding but you are not sure if you are ready, then our pros can help you. We'll take you off the groomers and into typical Cat and Heli style terrain, which we very conveniently have an abundance of with the addition of the new Glory Ridge Chair! We'll give you the in's and out's of floating smoothly and effortlessly through trees, wide open powder fields and everything in between. If you've already got your Cat or Heli trip booked, this can serve as a great warm-up and give you a couple tips to maximize your upcoming backcountry experience.
Time: Offered daily dependant on pro availability
6 hour duration, beginning at 9:00 am
Price: $78 per person, minimum of 3 people and maximum of 8 people
POWDERHOUND EXPERIENCE (ages 16 and up)
Ski and SB level 4-6
We'll take you off the groomers and into typical Cat and Heli style terrain, which we very conveniently have an abundance of with the addition of the new Glory Ridge Chair. We'll give you the ins and outs of floating smoothly and effortlessly through trees, wide open powder fields and everything in between.
Day 2 will consist of heading out to Big Red Cats located at the summit of the Nancy Greene Highway, roughly 1 hour from Nelson, for an unforgettable experience. Along with being guaranteed some great snow, you'll also have your pro on hand in the cat to help ensure you're using your skills learned on day 1. But don't worry, we'll talk and review video footage going up so we can get in as much skiing or riding as possible! This is truly an "only on the powder highway" experience.

Price: $478 - Includes 1 lift skiing at Whitewater with a 5 hour lesson and 1 day Cat Skiing with a pro at Big Red Cats with lunch and snacks provided for day 2
