The Evolution Continues as New Towers Now Rise High Above The Blast
With so much happening at the resort, and so fast, we thought it was time for an update! Everything is lining up for opening day and with the latest chill in the air, the excitement is building!
The New Summit Quad Chairlift
It is official, all of the lift towers are up and the top station is in place! After the crew at the mountain worked closely with the team at Alpine Logging to transport the 61,000 pound top station to the top of the Summit side, it was time for towers. A great effort by our entire crew erected all of the new lift towers in one day using a helicopter to position each tower. All 10 of the new towers and top assemblies are now ready for cabling, electrical and then inserting all the new chairs. It is quite a sight to see all the new towers standing tall over our beloved Blast run.
The New Skier Services and Guest Services Buildings
Both of our new buildings have rooftops and the crews are working hard to outfit the interior of the buildings. The Skier Services Lodge is currently receiving its outside siding. Good news is they are already watertight for when all that beautiful white snow starts falling...
Day Lodge Renovations
The bottom floor of our iconic original day lodge is progressing nicely with the addition of 40 lockers on the main level of the lodge. This provides a nice option for those longtime passholders to upgrade their locker experience, as well as provides more lockers for those that have been hoping and waiting!
The Glory Lodge
The new wood fireplace is ready for installation to help warm those passholders awaiting their Glory meal while taking a rest from pushing their way from all the deep stashes on the backside.
